Puppy Classes
Aim
To provide a friendly, supportive and motivational environment within which you and your puppy will learn the basics for a mutually rewarding relationship for life together, based on trust and understanding!
The Course
The Puppy Class is an 8 week course, at the end of which your puppy should be able to achieve the following:
Sit and keep focused on the owner
Down
Stay
Recall
Walk on a loose lead
Course Philosophy
During each course you and your puppy will learn how to work together and build a relationship/life based on trust and understanding.
Our methods are not harsh and are based around your individual dogs capabilities.
We encourage you to talk to & praise your dog lots, and reward correct responses.
The classes are fun and informative.
We will cover the topics of normal puppy behaviour, jumping up/play biting/toilet training/chewing. Socialisation:
For socialisation sessions your puppy will be assessed and you will be put in a class with puppies of a similar personality - this prevents any over-boisterous pups trying to play with shy/nervous pups!
Socialisation is a crucial part of your puppy’s development and must be done properly - for this reason you will need separate sessions in an outside environment. The puppies are encouraged to play and enjoy themselves.
You will be taught to protect your puppy from others.
Course Fees
The course fee is sixty pounds (payable by an advance deposit of £10.00 with the balance paid at the first class – cheque or cash).
